Several visions have been proposed in the last years on what the Internet of the Future could be. Following the so many events were these visions have been presented and discussed, there is a global feeling today that time has came to move forward into design and development, which requires solving various related scientific and technological challenges. The objective of the panel is to contribute in understanding what these challenges are, how international collaborative initiatives can face these challenges, what are the good synergies to be established between the academic and economic players, which roadmaps can be envisioned.
